Bio

McKenna Kasowski

Songwriter, Studio Vocalist, and Instrumentalist

From the moment she could pick up a pen, McKenna Kasowski has been using it as a form of self-expression, and to explore deeper meanings and human connections. McKenna penned her first original composition at the age of twelve, soon after discovering the guitar; and subsequently chose to dedicate her life to song.

Now twenty-six years old, McKenna spends most every weekend performing live and connecting with audiences through quick-witted, poignant lyrics that speak to the human condition. Since the release of her debut single,“The Keeper” in October of 2021, McKenna Kasowski has been billed alongside artists such as Jade Bird, Michael Martin Murphey, The Thieving Birds, Silverada (formerly Mike & the Moonpies), and Callahan Divide. Check out her regularly updated show schedule here.

Operating daily out of Junk Drawer Records in Clyde, TX (owned by Jordan Tyler Haynes), McKenna is no stranger to studio work. Her ethereal background vocals can be heard on Mark Wallney’s “Hide Your Love Away, Kerri Lick’s Baptized album, Jordan Tyler Haynes’s song “Funny”, Eddie Esler’s Panhandle Pipedream, Mark Winston Hagood’s This Journey, Dayne Pack’s Tale Of A Modern West Part II, and a plethora of soon-to-be released projects. Her distinctive guitar work and harmonies are also present on James Tollison’s Back in the Ring and Jordan Tyler Haynes’s Three Points of Contact.

When she’s not performing, writing, or in a studio session, one can find McKenna relaxing with her four rescue animals, keeping up with her daily jogging streak, or enjoying poetry in her hammock. McKenna also has a fervent love for nature, creation, and documentaries.

Be sure to stream Prefrontal Vortex, a genre-bending collection of original songs and McKenna’s debut indie pop album, released on March 14th, 2025.

“McKenna brings an infectious energy that captivates her audience.”
